All of our custom website designs
and implementations are developed
to your needs and specifications. Blue
Whale will work closely with your team
and take the guess work out of creating
a website, ensuring that you are getting
exactly what you expect.
We don't re-use our designs or work
from templates.
1. REQUIREMENTS
To develop a website consistent with
your expectations, we must first understand
what the business requirements are
that will drive the site design and
functionality. After an initial discussion
of your needs, Blue Whale will provide
a Statement of Work document that clearly
outlines the navigation, number of
pages, goals and objectives. This
important first step ensures that everyone
is on the same "page".
2. CREATIVE DESIGN
Once the requirements and project scope have been defined, Blue Whale will begin the creative design process. Clients will receive .jpg images of a unique website design. We work with our clients in a collaborative environment, and typically it takes one or two rounds of design revisions to reach a final design direction.
3. DEVELOPMENT
After the web design is approved, coding will begin.
Any functionality including databases and eCommerce
shopping systems are integrated at this point. Final
content should also be submitted at this point.
4. TESTING
Perhaps the most important aspect of developing a website,
and often overlooked, is sufficient and adequate testing.
Blue Whale will first test all aspects of the website's
functionality thoroughly. Only after passing our internal
high quality assurance standards will the website be
released to the client's servers and pushed live.
